When you think of the grace of God, how do you respond?  Do you sing?  Pray?  Praise?  Smile?  All of the above?  God’s grace is truly…  well – amazing!!!

When we perceive our spiritual blessings on a conscious level, it’s okay to take a moment to let God know how grateful we are for those supernatural gifts from Him.  Precious moments make us feel closer to God too, don’t they?  The other day, I was working on something in the living room while my husband was cooking in the kitchen.  I just had to take a moment to thank God for my blessings!

The more we thank God for blessings, the better our lives get.  How about giving your significant other a bear hug?  It’s a tiny act of love, but when you’ve been presented with a fantastic meal or a sweet compliment out of the blue – it’s a good idea to recognize such positive behavior.  We want it to continue, don’t we?  😉

God’s grace is the greatest of all blessings for all of mankind.  If not for His grace, we would be lost – literally.  Eternally lost.  So when we feel a flood of gratitude because of it – it’s a good thing!

Sometimes expressing thanks to God for all He’s done is like popping an anti-anxiety piece of chocolate after a stressful day at work.  It’s really better because the chocolate isn’t going to last, but when we sing, pray, praise and smile because of what God has done for us, it’s a lasting experience.  It seems to make every aspect of life that much better, doesn’t it?

Don’t wait for Thanksgiving to begin thanking God for His grace, mercy and love.  No one will ever love you like He does!  Count your blessings – big and small.  God has given us so much to be thankful for – and it takes more than just one day out of the year to thank Him sufficiently.  🙂

So if you reached into the treasure chest of God’s blessings, (which, by the way, never empties) how many blessings would you pull out? How many could you hold? Would you be shy and not want to take too many because you don’t want to appear selfish? Or, would you get a firm grip on every blessing you possibly could?

Well it’s Thanksgiving Day, and I pray for you every possible blessing from God’s endless bounty of blessings! Don’t be shy, step up and claim them from your Lord and humbly thank Him for His goodness to you! He wants only the best for His children. He loves us so much – we can’t even imagine.

The Psalmist, David, wrote this observation in God’s Holy Word, The Bible:

I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. – Psalm 37:25

Have faith today that God will meet all your needs. This Thanksgiving you have so much to be grateful for. I know you already know that, but I’m reminding you of the obvious.

Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever. – 1 Chronicles 16:34

HAPPY THANKSGIVUKAH!!! Now… pass me that punkin’ pie!!!

I wrote this little Thanksgiving poem/prayer for my friend Meri. I want to give she and her wonderful family a special shout out this year! ❤

I don’t just pay it forward, I throw a free prayer in with the deal. – Linda Palmer

What a unique day I have had! We are having a garage sale now and day one has gone quite well. I did manage to leave the garage for just a few minutes from time to time to check what’s going on in facebook land and check my email and so forth.

A friend and I are going to have breakfast soon and she sent me a note that said, “I want to buy your breakfast this week, but you have to promise me that you will PAY IT FORWARD.” I smiled and shot her a reply that said, “You bet I will – and there will be a free prayer thrown in with the payment!”

The day went along and I didn’t think much more about the email. I decided to go see my hair stylist to get my hair trimmed. I walked in expecting to be charged for the service. When she got done she said, “I’m not going to charge you this time – it didn’t take me five minutes – but you have to promise to PAY IT FORWARD!”

Am I racking up some debt here, or WHAT??? I thanked her and said, “You bet I will – and there will be a free prayer thrown in with the payment!” I headed out the door and began wondering how I would do all of this paying forward.

I got back to the house and one of our neighbors was looking at what we had for sale. He saw me walking toward the garage and smiled and said, “I’ve got something out in my car for you.” He motioned for me to follow him. When we got to the car, he picked up a bag of the most beautiful home-grown tomatoes I’ve ever seen. I thanked him for them and asked how much I owe. You already know where this is going, don’t you? He said, “Oh, no charge, just PAY IT FORWARD.” I was grinning from ear to ear and said, “You bet I will – and there will be a free prayer thrown in with the payment!”

If everyone throws in free prayers for the people they are helping, I imagine I have been more than sufficiently prayed for today. I feel so very blessed in so many ways today. Thank you, LORD for the wonderful people in my life! 🙂
