Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.   – Philippians 4:8

The apostle Paul reminds us to avoid “stinkin’ thinkin'” and keep our thoughts on those things that are worth thinking about.  When we waste time worrying or fretting about the future, that is time we are not focused on our Savior and His awesome goodness to us.  When we spend time revisiting the past (which by the way, we will never be able to change), we are also stealing joy from ourselves!  We need to get rid of the phrase “if only I would have…”  The fact is, I didn’t – and I can’t go back and make a different decision now.

Our thought life matters to God.  He knows we are most happy and healthy when we keep our minds in the present moment – and on Him.  When we are praising God for Who He Is and what He will do – we can be the grateful children He wants us to be.

BRING PEACE

The way to gain peace of heart and mind is to think on God and His unmatchable riches.  In this day of large, corrupt government, threats of terrorism and other frightening situations, it’s not easy to stay positive.  That’s why it is so important to keep having daily devotions with God’s Word.  Pray to find out what God has to say about you, your life, and how He wants you to live it.

Your enemy will accuse you – but God will not.  He is the One who will lift your hope ratio, your sense of humor, your positivity ratio and your overall spirits!  Let God’s Holy Spirit fill you and share what He gives you with others.  That is the only way you can be positive when the world around you is so very negative.  🙂
