WEED OUT HATE: SOW THE SEEDS OF GREATNESS DAY

TL 4-3 WEED OUT HATE SOW THE SEEDS OF GREATNESS DAYWho does the weeding in the garden of your heart?  If you try to weed your own garden, it might be beautiful for a while, but eventually those little hate weeds crop up again.  You’ll be doing a lot of gardening to keep the weeds away.  Hate weeds crop up because hate is a learned behavior – and sadly, it’s contagious!  We have a choice in life to either spread God’s love or spread hate from the enemy.  Did I say God’s love?  Why, yes I did.  How can we do that?  We can do that when God is the gardener of our heart.  Ah!  With His help, we can plant a garden of LOVE:PLANT A GARDEN OF LOVE

Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. – Matthew 24:12-14

In order for the garden of our heart to endure to the end, we need to rely on our Savior, Christ Jesus, to maintain it, water, weed and feed it.  If we’ll let Him, He will give us a heart full of His love, mercy, grace and add His blessing of peace for good measure.  He’s the best gardener!  Listen to these promises:

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.  – Ezekiel 36:26-27
When He works in the garden of your heart, He takes out all the stones which means the weeds of hate will be gone.  He promises to put His Spirit within us and cause us to do the things we should.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.  – Proverbs 3:5-7

The One removing all the hate weeds from your heart’s garden should be trustworthy and dependable.  The Lord is faithful to not only weed your garden, but lay a lovely little cobblestone pathway for you to walk on so you’ll be safe from harm.  He’s wise and wonderful that way.  I want the garden of my heart to be free of hate weeds, full of God’s love flowers with a perfect little cobblestone pathway that keeps me safe!

Once those hate weeds are out, God will help you sow the seeds of greatness!  Greatness in God!  🙂

A COMMENTARY FROM THE HEART

TL A COMMENTARY FROM THE HEART (31)

From the time I was a small child, I’ve heard Bible stories and have learned little songs about this wonderful Book. One of my favorites is The B.I.B.L.E. Yes, that’s the Book for me! The inspired Word of God is my go to for all the answers in life.

Christianity is all about faith. Faith is the opposite of doubt.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen. – Hebrews 11:1

God’s Word helps us slay many giants in life. A few of these giants include:

He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities. – Psalm 103:10

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him; for He knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust. – Psalm 103:13-14

The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills. – Habakkuk 3:19

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. – Philippians 1:6

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. – Psalm 32:1-2

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit. – Psalm 51:12

As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. – Psalm 103:12

Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. – James 4:13-14

A COMMENTARY FROM THE HEART

.TL A COMMENTARY FROM THE HEART (13)

YOU ALWAYS HAVE MY BACK

It’s not English, but you know the song. Behold what manner of love the Father has given unto us.

Behold what manner of love
The Father has given unto us,
Behold what manner of love
The Father has given unto us,
That we should be called the sons of God,
That we should be called the sons of God

There are human beings that I love very much. Some I like very much. Everyone else I consider friends I have not met yet. No matter how close I am to a person, I know they are not going to be on their “A” game every single day. Humans are moody, unpredictable and let’s face it, irritating at times. I know this because I AM one. I’ve rubbed a lot of people the wrong way I’m sure. I don’t keep a list and I don’t keep track. It would use way too much paper and waste too much of my precious time!

This passion week I want to praise My Savior, Jesus Christ, for being my rock steady, dependable, reliable, never-changing, always loving, always forgiving, always positive, always available for a chat… best friend!

How much better do you feel after you’ve had a real heart-to-heart chat with your Savior? I know, right? How can anyone not find the time for that? It’s such a precious time for me! I’m tearing up – my God is my everything and my Savior paid a debt He did not owe! For ME! For YOU! How could anyone reject that kind of love? I do not understand.

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! – 1 John 3:1

When I study God’s Holy Word, The Bible, particularly the story of Jesus at the cross, I’m in tears through most of it. I’m at a loss to comprehend the pain He suffered. What boggles my mind even more is knowing that He suffered that anguish FOR ME.

I wasn’t living back then, but He knew I’d be born and He knew I needed salvation. He always has my back!

I hope you will read the account of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection at some point this week. Consider asking Christ into your heart and life. ❤
