Have you ever felt like you just don’t fit in? I have!
Most of us have felt like the odd man out at one time or the other. It’s particularly sad when you feel that way in God’s house. It seems that a group of people, imperfect as we are, while committed to the ways of God, should make some effort to be inclusive instead of forming little secret clubs within the body. It’s maddening to those who are looking on from the outside.
A cardinal rule of blogging is that you are never to repeat yourself… and I’m about to break the rule… at the risk of repeating myself, I will say, WHOSOEVER MEANS ANYONE. God doesn’t care about what you did yesterday, but He cares a great deal about what you will do today and from this moment on. People are not as forgiving, sadly – they like to throw things up at you – but we’re just going to pray for them and keep moving forward for the Lord.
Christ wants everyone to be saved and live forever with Him in Heaven. It’s His desire that you be in the ark of safety, because one of these days, He will come back to take His own to Heaven. I don’t know when that will be – nobody knows except God. Jesus doesn’t even have that information. But one day, God will tell Jesus it’s time to snatch us up – and there will be no time to be saved at that point – it will be too late for anyone who has not made a decision to follow Christ.
Have you ever been in a church that seemed too good to be true? Everything just seems to run as smooth as silk and the people are all happy? That’s the congregation that has found the real secret – they know that each of them as individuals has to have a great relationship with their Heavenly Father, through His Son, Jesus, before they can relate to each other. When we practice the Fruits of the Spirit, we will practice the principles with one another – won’t we? There won’t be a lot of pride or rudeness. We will mesh because we know that the LORD said… WHOSOEVER – it means me – and it means you. You’ve not gone too far down the spiral – that’s the enemy talking. Just turn from it and run to God – right now. There’s not a sin that God through Christ will not forgive except the sin of rejecting Him.
Once you are in His loving arms, find support in a church where you feel His Spirit at work. Learn and grow in your faith. Today is the day to be saved. Tomorrow may be too late. Be a part of God’s beautiful puzzle – His masterpiece.
God so often speaks to my heart through music. Today I have an especially nice hymn running through my mind – it’s an oldie but a goodie. Enjoy!
I am happy today, and the sun shines bright! 🙂
