Perfect isn’t normal, nor is it interesting. – Amy Adams
Forget-me-nots are fragile little blue flowers with unassuming faces. They are far from demanding and could easily be overlooked; however, to those of us who are attracted by the color blue and for whom the color has meaning (diabetics understand the meaning of blue), these little beauties are absolute perfection.
On FORGET-ME-NOT DAY we have an opportunity to let our loved ones, friends and family know how special they are to us. Now, that doesn’t mean you have to contact Tele-flora to order them a bouquet of forget-me-nots. You can remember them with something as simple (and inexpensive) as an e-card from any number of places. I like to send cards from http://www.crosscards.com/ and yes, this site is in my favorites on my computer. Wink! 😉 I know some of you make homemade cards – and I can’t imagine it would be difficult to make a forget-me-not. Be creative and shine God’s love on a friend in the process.
God has given us folks who love and support us. All too soon our loved ones die and our friends may not stay. Even if you have friends that you’ve lost touch with, what better way to rekindle friendship than with a lovely e-card? As long as you have an email address, you are set to send!
And what of our loved ones who have passed? Well, as a general rule I place yellow flowers on my folks’ graves, but I may take a few little blue flowers out today to add an accent to the yellow flowers! They won’t know, of course – but we don’t know. God might allow them to see what I’m doing – who knows for sure?
Do you have children? You know, I think it would be a great deal of fun as a mom or a grandmother to help a child plant some forget-me-not seeds in a pot! Interact with those precious babies just as much as you can! The seeds are so inexpensive and the project sounds like a good way to teach youngsters to appreciate flowers! Isn’t God’s creation miraculous?
Whatever you decide to do today, make sure you share some love and make someone’s day brighter! ❤
